Mirror in Mirror Poetry Book

Ayeneh dar Ayeneh (Mirror in Mirror)book includes selective poems of famous contemporary Persian poet “Hushang Ebtehaj” that is gathered and selected by another great and well-known contemporary Persian poet Dr. Mohammad Reza Shafiei Kadkani. Hushang Ebtehaj was born in 25 February 1928 Rasht, Iran. He was interested in poetry and literatures when he was only a teenager in a way that he published his first poetry book when he was a high school student. The style of his poems is usually modern Persian poems and also sonnets that will drown the reader in the ocean of feelings and emotions.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Shafeie Kadkani chose a selection of his favorite poems written by Hushang Ebtehaj in this book when he had a meeting with Hushang Ebtehaj in Germany in 1990 and he asked Ebtehaj permission to publish this poem selection under the title of “Ayeneh dar Ayeneh” (Mirror in Mirror). Hushang Ebtehaj agreed and let his friend choose the poems with full consent and no interfering or without applying his opinion or taste. Dr. Shafeie Kadkani didn’t choose the poems based on the best ones, rather, he intended to show the different stages of the evolution of Hushang Ebtehaj artistic creativity in writing beautiful and emotional poems.

Ayeneh dar Ayeneh (Mirror in Mirror) poetry book is published by Cheshmeh publications and has 217 pages.
